"Alexa, order me a pizza!" (I got an Alexa for myself and it's pretty awesome)<br />
<br />
It's also really hard to lose weight when your boss takes you out to eat. My philosophy has always been that free food trumps diets and unlimited pizza trumps common sense.<br />

<em>We ate at PF Changs yesterday and it wasn't good despite the amount of food I ate.</em></div>
<br />
On top of that, my wife is really into saving the environment and she's got these cool metal straws. Of course the first time I use one I knock out a tooth! Ridiculous!<br />
<br />
Luckily one of our clients is one of the best dentists in Los Angeles and was able to fix me up really fast. Dr. Paz from Atlantic Dental Group is amazing and has some of the most <a href="http://www.atlanticdentalgrp.com/affordable-vs-expensive-dental-implants/" target="_blank">affordable dental implants</a> in California. <br />
<br />
On top of the low prices, he made a deal with me to give me a discount if we made a video of one of his procedures. I'm really thankful for Dr. Paz and his staff. Here's a pic from our adventure:<br />

I hope to be getting back to blogging as the new year rolls around and I start making some more resolutions that I won't keep. I really am going to try to keep them this time!<br />

On special Mondays when my wife works late and Ronan is at his grandma's, I get to pig out by myself and eat whatever I want. I usually go the quick and greasy route and gorge myself on a family pack of supermarket fried chicken but today was different. Today I felt like a little treat because I've been working hard lately.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Morongo Casino is less than 15 minutes away and I decided that I would give myself a decadent Vegas style experience by going to the <a href="http://www.morongocasinoresort.com/dining/potrerocanyonbuffet" target="_blank">Potrero Canyon Buffet</a>. I've always loved their seafood and prime rib Sundays but today was their more affordable Mexican Monday lineup.</div>

<b><i>Enjoying a dinner fit for the King of the North</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I felt kind of weird going to Morongo by myself and eating alone but I had the craving and couldn't fight it. After finishing the Game of Thrones season 6 finale last night, I needed a meal fit for a king. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNC6jdtrP54g_GV4LZ405DIaLSFOOBJeKij4nSjVUVb_j0JwqNy9AU5xJoRvCC5AZF6K6raXPwIMHXpRd2wxMi-gJnuTbgjJJndWDX7-MA5jPk45_R9rFf3Zk9eUXCEcfeqLW9DhyphenhyphenfqJyb/s1600/morongo-buffet-dinner.jpg"><img alt="Mexican Mondays at Morongo Casino Buffet" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNC6jdtrP54g_GV4LZ405DIaLSFOOBJeKij4nSjVUVb_j0JwqNy9AU5xJoRvCC5AZF6K6raXPwIMHXpRd2wxMi-gJnuTbgjJJndWDX7-MA5jPk45_R9rFf3Zk9eUXCEcfeqLW9DhyphenhyphenfqJyb/s1600/morongo-buffet-dinner.jpg" title="" width="100%" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Pork Tenderloin, Turkey with Gravy, Orange Chicken, Cheese Bread, and Menudo. Whoa.</i></b></div>
<br />
This was my first plate. It was quite an odd combination but if you know me you know I always have to try the Menudo no matter where I am. A lot of people are turned off by it but there's something about the chewy lining of a cow's stomach that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.<br />
<br />
The pork and turkey were good as well. The sweat and sour pork was much better than the orange chicken though. The star of the plate was the freshly baked jalapeno cheese bread. It was soft, warm, salty, and spicy with a slightly crispy cheese crust. It was exceptional.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Chicken Colorado, Carne Asada, Stuffed Sole, Coconut Shrimp, and Roast Beef with Au Jus</b></i></div>
<br />
My second plate packed a protein punch. The roast beef with au jus was quite tasty but the real winner was the stuffed sole. It was flavorful, flaky, and buttery. It melted in my mouth and I thoroughly enjoyed it.<br />
<br />

<b><i>Potrero Canyon Buffet Desserts</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><br /></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I finished my meal fit for a Targaryen with a few choice morsles from Potrero's large selection of desserts. My favorite was the chocolate covered cream puff. I was so full that I had to move up a belt buckle hole to fit every last bit in.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The service at Potrero Canyon Buffet was really good. The servers were very nice and I never had empty plates stacked up on my table. I was very happy with the way I was served.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've actually done a review of the Morongo Buffet here before about 5 years ago. Read about it here: <a href="http://ohsofat.blogspot.com/2011/08/whats-been-in-my-mouth.html" target="_blank">Morongo Buffet Review</a><br />

I'm really glad to live near such a cool place and definitely will come back more often. I might even bring my family this time! </div>

I had brought a salad to work but the people in my office decided to go to Pho Star Bowl, a Vietnamese restaurant, near our work. I wanted to just stay in office and watch Youtube videos of goats screaming and cry into my salad but they forced me to go with them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I told myself that I wouldn't get anything but I ended up ordering an Avocado smoothie with boba. Unfortunately they didn't have boba which is kind of funny because they advertise that they have boba so I just got the smoothie part.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Pho Star Bowl Avocado Smoothie</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The picture in the menu of the drink was bright green but when she gave it to me it was a beige which was kind of weird. I know the green color doesn't really mean anything but it was visually less appealing. The smoothie itself was quite good because it wasn't too sweet and had a really creamy texture. There's not much of an avocado taste but there's a hint of it.<br />
<br />
It reminded me of when I was a kid and my parents mashed up avocados with milk and sugar in a bowl and we ate it like pudding.<br />
<br />

It was like a spicy punch to the face going in and a giant haymaker coming out. Why I did it? I don't know. I can feel myself getting old when I eat hot food. When I was younger I could tackle the spicy but now I have to factor in how much it will disrupt my sleep and if it's going to make me cry.<br />
<br />
Do you know the difference between a Sandwich and a Burger? I didn't till I just Goolged it right now. Apparently a burger is something that has ground meat formed into a patty but a sandwich will have a sliced piece of meat. Interesting.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEuTpKzZxuEn4MpLXefoEEI91lG6fO1yZY65xRxO-DS-oCWkJEtKV75c4lBR5e1N_L5ReHF67XQqO1kqrWo0Ulo5128YaTnGnUsQXhFDYtQEQRMuqhpKthZK2D1LWnB0_J5kui7OWL3jVO/s1600/20160331_124718.jpg"><img alt="Wendy's Jalapeno Chicken Sandwich" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEuTpKzZxuEn4MpLXefoEEI91lG6fO1yZY65xRxO-DS-oCWkJEtKV75c4lBR5e1N_L5ReHF67XQqO1kqrWo0Ulo5128YaTnGnUsQXhFDYtQEQRMuqhpKthZK2D1LWnB0_J5kui7OWL3jVO/s1600/20160331_124718.jpg" title="" width="100%" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Wendy's Jalapeno Fresco Chicken Sandwich</i></b></div>
<br />
The Wendy's we went to was fully remodeled and had digital menus and a bunch of flashing images. It even had a fake fireplace along the wall. The digital menu dazzled me and told me to eat the <b>Jalapeno Fresco Chicken Sandwich</b>, which I ultimately decided to get because it looked good in the picture. It also tricked me into getting the <b>Ghost Pepper Fries</b> by flashing delicious images and taunting me saying I'm a weakling if I didn't get it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>RAWR!</i></b></div>
<br />
This is one of the messiest burgers I've ever had. The sauce looks like it was put on by someone while driving a quad in the Grand Canyon. We were in kind of a hurry but eating it in the car was out of the question.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>First bite of Wendy's Jalapeno Chicken Sandwich</b></i></div>
<br />
The first bite was pretty good. I was expecting something out of the little bits of jalapeno cut up in the sauce but they had little to no taste. They just added a little bit of a crunchy texture. The sauce was quite good and sufficiently spicy. There was a delayed kick after the first bite that could only be stopped by taking more bites.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Inside the first bite of the Jalapeno Chicken Burger</i></b></div>
<br />
The chicken itself was quite dry and over cooked. The breading was crunchy but the meat was bland.<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>The last bite (a big one)</i></b></div>
<br />
We had to run out of there fast so this was the last bite that I jammed completely in my mouth. I didn't get to savor the sandwich as much because of the rush but it wasn't too bad.<br />

<b><i>Ghost Pepper Fries</i></b></div>
<br />
Here is a picture of the Ghost pepper Fries. It's the same sauce that's on the sandwich but actually this tasted better. The fries at Wendy's is usually super salty but either the Ghost Pepper sauce cancelled it out by chemically burning it away or that they just don't dump a handful of salt on your fries when they're making the Ghost Pepper version.<br />
<br />
As soon as I opened the fries in the car, peoples' eyes started to burn. They could smell it with their eyes.<br />
<br />
Overall the Jalapeno Fresco Chicken Sandwich is ok and I give it a 6 out of 10. It's nothing amazing but it's edible. The Ghost Pepper Fries I give a 7.5 out of 10. The sauce added some good flavor to the fries. Till next time!<br />

GargantuanJimmy John's is the Subway killer. Their pricing is a little more than Subway ($5.99 - $8.99) but their subs pack much more flavor and they use better quality meat.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvUB-xgTKVjGN5WiQjjlu9esHYjWqpbnHUPugC7FTJTy5NvgcRazU3d_ZRacYN_ZhA_WLLjTlOT58n0tz9UHhCh-kfjV1ARXkTEQA3qh9VBIfBmgtyijw1rwtK6y2iXMoekKrwuXEXwE3k/s1600/20160324_124205.jpg"><img alt="Jimmy John's J.J. <div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>The J. J. Gargantuan</i></b></div>
<br />
Subway has also been jacking up their prices lately. They still have their $5 foot longs but it's only 1 sub that rotates depending on the day. For some reason I really hate black forest ham and that's usually the sub of the day when our office decides to go eat there.<br />
<br />
Jimmy John's has a couple awesome unique things about it. First, they deliver. I haven't used their online ordering or delivery yet but it's great to know that we can order food and have it delivered if we're feeling just the right amount of lazy. Second, they are lightning fast. It's really weird because just as you're finishing up with the cashier, someone will call your name and your sandwich is ready. The first time it happened to me I was shocked and confused. I didn't think it'd be ready that fast.<br />
<br />
I went all out this time and got the J.J. Gargantuan ($8.99) which has a bunch of tasty Italian meats doused with a tangy vinaigrette. They don't really let you customize your sub too much which is how they can get it out so fast but I really wouldn't change much about it anyway.<br />

<br />
Our office actually went to subway yesterday and I didn't get anything because I was so spoiled by Jimmy John's.<br />
<br />
I was curious about the store and looked up what a franchise would cost. I've looked at Subway before and know they're one of the cheapest to open.<br />
<br />
To open a Subway you need $30,000 and your gross net worth has to be $80,000 and it costs about $160,000 - $200,000 to build one.<br />
<br />
To open a Jimmy John's you need $80,000 and your gross net worth has to be $300,000. I didn't see specifically how much it costs to build one.<br />
<br />
I hope people start opening franchises near where I live to fight the swarm of Subways that we have. If you ever get a chance to eat there, I suggest you try it!<br />

The constant sitting, snacking, and eating out has caused my office chair great distress. It doesn't help that every weekend is packed with family get-togethers where stuffing face is a guarantee.<br />
<br />
Yesterday my boss and I went to a business lunch to discuss work and how things are going. El Torito isn't a place I would normally go for good Mexican food because the portions are small and the price is on the high end but it's a nice environment for a meeting especially if you are planning to get reamed about work.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhspJsWxHOMBOyoQpy5z61ZT1DHKFTr5Z1nmCBET43DFgnjFSH3xX0eeb3paz4KB3Zpy5AxkUBW7ua0_IH4Wxn0c8UoVlJM973adZsiiYe73lm3cpRYaQ2nDs9SI8tIqzwU-wt2xC5BG_yL/s1600/el-torito-chili-relleno.jpg"><img alt="El Torito Chile Relleno" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhspJsWxHOMBOyoQpy5z61ZT1DHKFTr5Z1nmCBET43DFgnjFSH3xX0eeb3paz4KB3Zpy5AxkUBW7ua0_IH4Wxn0c8UoVlJM973adZsiiYe73lm3cpRYaQ2nDs9SI8tIqzwU-wt2xC5BG_yL/s1600/el-torito-chili-relleno.jpg" title="" width="100%" /></a>
<strong><em>El Torito Chile Relleno </em></strong></div>
<br />
I didn't feel like a big ol' burrito so I decided to go with my default choice of Chile Relleno. If you're interested in Chile Relleno, you can read about my quest to find the perfect one <a href="http://ohsofat.blogspot.com/2014/09/super-mex-quest-for-perfect-chili.html" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
The rice at El Torito is always well seasoned and tasty and the beans are always bland and boring. The Chile Relleno is small. I ordered the Choose 2 Combo and picked both Chile Rellenos.<br />
<br />
I was fairly disappointed with it but it was a free lunch so I wasn't worked up like I normally would be. The sweet ball of yellow corn cake isn't the same as I remembered either. When I was a fat little kid I would dream of swimming inside a giant ocean of sweet corn cake where the only way to survive was to eat my way out. It was less flavorful than usual and didn't give me those wonderful mild childhood hallucinations that I was craving.<br />
<br />
Overall it was a good meeting but a mediocre lunch but maybe I'm just getting too old and crotchety. I'm really trying my hardest to get excited about blogging again. I will make sure to get better pictures and more in depth. Till then...<br />

Watching Greek food being prepared always fascinates me. I love ogling that giant hunk of lamb meat slowly rotating on a vertical spit. It takes all my willpower to not beat my chest and grunt as they dish out my plate.<br />
<br />
Greek places always have the most adjective packed names. Around us we've got the Fat Greek, the Mad Greek, the Lucky Greek, and my favorite, the Morbidly Obese Slightly Psychotic Greek.<br />
<br />
Normally the local spots we go to are kind of "rustic" with sticky tables and meat juice splattered all over the counters. I usually leave these places with my elbows covered in Tzatziki sauce. Eating at the <strong>Greek Street Grill </strong>was a totally different experience. <br />
<br />
The restaurant feels so modern and clean that it confused me. I've been conditioned to think that if you want the most flavor you've got to go to a place that's "well seasoned" with layers of drippings splattered on the walls that can only be acquired through years of neglect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_53gkSJVWW-E2A10oEWYEIph50N3KXadmgqUGPD40Pv3KHQIr4dkq7ir136VIrjMkRblAroWFInapZ2PwAKT8bDDKWn9rUqrUmF4YRo0-T1GQ4Z37IaZ-1OwrRbM3A032O6irpQVZufQn/s1600/greek-street-grill-gyro.jpg"><img alt="greek street grill gyro" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_53gkSJVWW-E2A10oEWYEIph50N3KXadmgqUGPD40Pv3KHQIr4dkq7ir136VIrjMkRblAroWFInapZ2PwAKT8bDDKWn9rUqrUmF4YRo0-T1GQ4Z37IaZ-1OwrRbM3A032O6irpQVZufQn/s1600/greek-street-grill-gyro.jpg" title="" width="100%" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong><em>Greek Street Grill - Gyro, Fries, and Rice</em></strong></div>
<br />
Greek Street Grill's gyros were great and prepared very neatly. The portion isn't as big as the mom and pop places I'm used to but the lamb was moist and jam packed with flavor. <br />
<br />
It also seems healthy, right? At least compared to the Most American Thick Burger at Carl's Jr. that has a hotdog in it. At least I can fool myself to think it's healthier than what I'd normally get. <br />
<br />
There was something off about the rice though but other than that it's definitely a spot that we've now worked into our office lunch rotation. <br />
<br />
I do enjoy the <a href="http://www.greekstreetgrill.com/" target="_blank">Greek Street Grill</a> and we will be going back. If you're in the Inland Empire area, go check them out!<br />

I realize I do not make healthy choices. My wife got really mad at me because she caught me making a bagel at midnight last night. But eating a bagel right before you go to bed can't be that bad for you, right? I mean, it's not packed with meaty cholesterol and it's not deep fried. It even has fruit! (Raisin Bagel)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It kind of reminds me of how I reason with myself whenever I stare deep into a menu at any Mexican Restaurant. I always promise my wife that I will eat healthy and I use some sort of Jedi mind tricks to convince myself that a Chili Relleno burrito is good for you. I mean, it's not packed with meaty cholesterol and I think chili is a vegetable, right?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Chili Rellenos are basically a big fat chili that has been force fed handfuls of cheese, battered with an egg based coating and deep fried till the oil soaks in and turns the cheese into a gooey super blob.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am on the constant search for the world's greatest Chili Relleno burrito. Today at work we stopped in at Super Mex in Riverside CA. Super Mex is pretty clean inside but I hate the seating. I always feel so crammed in but maybe it's because I'm getting fatter. Oh, and there's always like 5 cops eating there at all times. It's not like I have meth in my pockets or anything to hide but I just can't relax when I'm there.</div>

Super Mex Chili Relleno Burrito Pre-Devouring</div>
<br />
Super Mex makes a decent sized burrito. The plate is actually smaller than a dinner plate so it looks much bigger. It's a chain restaurant so they try to keep their portions cost effective unlike a mom and pop place where they have the power to make gigantic pillow sized burritos.<br />

As far as the taste goes I quite enjoyed it. It was packed with melty cheese that spilled over on the rice and chili itself was quite flavorful. The trickiest part usually is the batter. If you get it too eggy it becomes gross but Super Mex had just the right amount.</div>

Super Mex makes a pretty good, maybe not so healthy, chili relleno burrito. The one thing that could probably be improved upon is the tortilla. I believe that you can really tell how good a restaurant is by the tortillas they use. Taco Bell for instance has that pure white always limp and cold tortilla. This one was definitely not freshly made but it had a nice char, crisp, soft, and had a little chewy which I like. </div>

Super Mex is in between a mom and pop family Mexican restaurant and an El Torrito. It's a decent Mexican Restaurant. Food takes a while, their complimentary chips are kind of weird (large tostada shaped) cops are always there, but the food is good and the price is doable.<br />
<br />
Would I eat here again? Yes, because it's "healthy."<br />

For centuries the house of McDonald sat upon the Iron Skillet and ruled the Seven Fast Food Kingdoms with a mythical burger that drew its power from a mysterious special sauce. Many have tried to challenge The Big Mac, some even declared a full-scale war (like the <a href="http://ohsofat.blogspot.com/2009/09/carls-jr-big-carl-271-rating-4.html" target="_blank">Big Carl</a>) but were crushed by The Big Mac's weird third bun.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Big King, ruler of the house Burger King, birthed two flame-broiled meat patties from ancient fire and through some sort of alchemy conjured up a rival "King Sauce" (Mayo, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustered, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This blog will chronically in detail the epic battle between these two burgers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXHxCx8HUmJiQhCUPesSL8cKLgsLsbPsCxW7LqWXCO4Y27l97-uWP6HZOwYmIKpP_YHbaGR7ry03DjIVqKw15d4voRyzq6cd2MQNZeGjI0_O9Z2HdJJ_PBK4YSQ4tyOhQJNgD7idsTdz4/s1600/big-mac-vs-big-king.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXHxCx8HUmJiQhCUPesSL8cKLgsLsbPsCxW7LqWXCO4Y27l97-uWP6HZOwYmIKpP_YHbaGR7ry03DjIVqKw15d4voRyzq6cd2MQNZeGjI0_O9Z2HdJJ_PBK4YSQ4tyOhQJNgD7idsTdz4/s1600/big-mac-vs-big-king.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I first put them side by side you can definitely see that the Big Mac is quite larger than the Big King. (Big Mac: 1 - Big King: 0) Maybe it's because the Big Mac's buns are made from a compound that can withstand a 40 ton nuclear blast and that's why the bread keeps its shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhqncem9az7lGxQJYpqG8jF9wgzVovyOInQ59etlgkY18c_nTkBPi0iQW9hk7O89RLUZ-HErKsLkj6gyzJxf9x1ezos-rBU-XxJvMgdq35qUmGRgKq-AJuthfem3R5CLSWoiKIaoQ9lME/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhqncem9az7lGxQJYpqG8jF9wgzVovyOInQ59etlgkY18c_nTkBPi0iQW9hk7O89RLUZ-HErKsLkj6gyzJxf9x1ezos-rBU-XxJvMgdq35qUmGRgKq-AJuthfem3R5CLSWoiKIaoQ9lME/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-1.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
As we dive into the first layer of the burgers we can see that the Big King's meat patties have "grill marks" which are achieved through some sort of jet fire conveyor belt contraption that gives the meat a smokey taste the Big Mac does not have. My wife says it reeks of awful liquid smoke and tries too hard to not taste microwaved (even though the are reheated in one) but I think I prefer it to the Big Mac's patty. (Big Mac: 1 - Big King: 1 )<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Vvk0wMdcZ88DScBKY42WMmhoa_R1oPvK8TLIwPkvw0WKGa24wbjoNZEC09E8W5ABuy1eY_gfXt21t0BbzYwWsV12mU1i6vkHvRXgFfTbJA5GTpr7e080rpozDOSMZB-LtUspRvLUjcw/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-2.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Vvk0wMdcZ88DScBKY42WMmhoa_R1oPvK8TLIwPkvw0WKGa24wbjoNZEC09E8W5ABuy1eY_gfXt21t0BbzYwWsV12mU1i6vkHvRXgFfTbJA5GTpr7e080rpozDOSMZB-LtUspRvLUjcw/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-2.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
The Big King uses a more rustic cut pickle (seen in the previous layer) vs Big Mac's really processed cut pickle. The Big King also has a SECOND coating of King sauce in this layer which really adds to the flavor but makes the burger super soggy. The Big Mac's special sauce has yet to make an appearance. (Big Mac: 1 - Big King: 2)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgII5ZBCDGRzPLpFNHnGTY8t5Y4bu4FQHREBhO6ksSl-VSogQ7RHAnFIE45JqO0QmQ37DlQmEWGpSSGrL4HrrtM2BWhXkUnCJs5I5uWY2fs530vK9CUy-LTUHI1N5rBXdurohSklRTLM18/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-3.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgII5ZBCDGRzPLpFNHnGTY8t5Y4bu4FQHREBhO6ksSl-VSogQ7RHAnFIE45JqO0QmQ37DlQmEWGpSSGrL4HrrtM2BWhXkUnCJs5I5uWY2fs530vK9CUy-LTUHI1N5rBXdurohSklRTLM18/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-3.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
Here the Big King has cheese that has melted on the patty which was kind of nice but it made the center bun even soggier because it soaked through it. The Big Mac had a little more cheese. (Big Mac: 2 - Big King: 2)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFXJMPSMmEwSmfIh_jR8pXejm4alLCksU3fbIFcuRxLYuZVi217f8PnyXifE26FW71vOcHwKNlH95gnAbeDmEHIly2APj64npwzIFI5HWl6KCpSG-0vRvg5lr0k2emEG0vN6aW4qtTHio/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-4.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFXJMPSMmEwSmfIh_jR8pXejm4alLCksU3fbIFcuRxLYuZVi217f8PnyXifE26FW71vOcHwKNlH95gnAbeDmEHIly2APj64npwzIFI5HWl6KCpSG-0vRvg5lr0k2emEG0vN6aW4qtTHio/s1600/big-king-vs-big-mac-layer-4.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
In the final layer we see the first and final appearance of The Big Mac's special sauce. It would have been nice if they had put the cheese on the previous layer to to separate it from the lettuce.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJkwrmuCwR8UEM_OjVaIHVg92jKz-7rw_E1d9cq6oCfqb-tX1bF3ih_25vKEJnVteleH7fp0G-ZD4zfUoRrf25SODVOVNonmKqgwu0NoNZPKdiypM8vPtuWhoMzE9UthbeWWaGeX9Ldw/s1600/mark-lim-big-mac-big-king.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqJkwrmuCwR8UEM_OjVaIHVg92jKz-7rw_E1d9cq6oCfqb-tX1bF3ih_25vKEJnVteleH7fp0G-ZD4zfUoRrf25SODVOVNonmKqgwu0NoNZPKdiypM8vPtuWhoMzE9UthbeWWaGeX9Ldw/s1600/mark-lim-big-mac-big-king.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
So who gets to rule the Iron Skillet? When it comes down to aesthetics, the Big Mac looks like the superior burger but when you break it down into layers, The Big King looks like it was better constructed with higher quality ingredients.<br />
<br />
But what it all boils down to is the taste. Which one of these burgers reigns supreme? First off, the Big Mac tasted clean and wasn't messy. The amount of sauce complimented the burger fine and it tasted pretty good.<br />
<br />
The Big King on the other hand had much better quality ingredients (better meat & better pickles) and seemed to have more special sauce than The Big Mac but for some reason I really didn't like it as much. My wife also tried the vs. challenge with me and also agreed that there was something off about The Big King.<br />
<br />
Maybe it was how soggy the buns were or that it was a lot messier to eat but I didn't enjoy it as much. I wasn't thrilled about how The Big King handled their cheese or sauce but not to say that it's a bad burger. I just preferred The Big Mac. (Big Mac: 3 - Big King: 2)<br />
<br />
Both can be purchased for $4 which I think is waaaaay over priced and both will significantly reduce your life span just as equally.<br />

<br />
So there you have it. Big Mac crushes Big King and rules the Seven Fast Food Kingdoms and sits upon The Iron Skillet. To read my review on <a href="http://ohsofat.blogspot.com/2009/09/carls-jr-big-carl-271-rating-4.html" target="_blank">The Big Carl from Carl's Jr, click here :)</a><br />

You know how your dogs absolutely lose their minds when they hear you make any kind of sound that resembles opening a bag of treats? That's how I get when I get a whiff of <b>Au Jus</b>. Oh that savory flavorful cup of beef drippings always makes my mouth water. I attribute French Beef Dip sandwiches as the reason I was a chunky porklette kid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For a couple days now my co-worker has been trying to get me to go to D'Elias Grinders, a sandwich shop in Riverside CA that has been there since 1955. Legend has it that the bread is baked from scratch daily and has a unique flaky crust that has customers so loyal that they have family Fed-Ex them sandwiches out of state.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After scanning their menu I came across the item that I had longed my entire childhood for, the Beef Dip with Au Jus. I was so excited.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
When I unwrapped the grinder from its paper prison I was hoping to see it explode like a tightly packed suitcase but instead it just looked like an empty baguette. I expected to see stacks of thinly sliced beef piled so high but instead go this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsr0ZhDbW-aDtTxmPxcEqmlF1Q8gk3i4plCwLYPWlGWGxy6_Xqrl9mHYpsKhziqWu09GnCBalf_GSi0FpVgoNzR716PU2nH4F7x3RM2EYw89nVT5koBHzFzy0jxmkGDyfDtvmD5U_EhQw/s1600/d-elias-grinders-roast-beef-dip.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsr0ZhDbW-aDtTxmPxcEqmlF1Q8gk3i4plCwLYPWlGWGxy6_Xqrl9mHYpsKhziqWu09GnCBalf_GSi0FpVgoNzR716PU2nH4F7x3RM2EYw89nVT5koBHzFzy0jxmkGDyfDtvmD5U_EhQw/s1600/d-elias-grinders-roast-beef-dip.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Grinder Autopsy</i></div>
<br />
The grinder itself was quite large but felt really light. I was a little disappointed with the meat distribution because the last 3 inches was just a cheese sandwich.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykCA8EnMMpeEzOuh5Q8uAxv3ddMh1z6XGTDba9jhf7oJrEsa6oAHJ6aPaC32DNrNWYZ5_1OmglHUkZfGTI2_LsE6I_-PX7nczwDMZ5TAUK92JZal2fl9WZp75WeKyWgtcsjJ41KzLUQU/s1600/delias-grinders-beef-dip-au-jus-mark-lim.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykCA8EnMMpeEzOuh5Q8uAxv3ddMh1z6XGTDba9jhf7oJrEsa6oAHJ6aPaC32DNrNWYZ5_1OmglHUkZfGTI2_LsE6I_-PX7nczwDMZ5TAUK92JZal2fl9WZp75WeKyWgtcsjJ41KzLUQU/s1600/delias-grinders-beef-dip-au-jus-mark-lim.jpg" width="100%" /></a></div>

<i>Sogging up that crunchy bread</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The bread was super hard. After the legend of the bread build up I was sorely disappointed. The bread tasted like it wasn't baked that day, but baked in 1955 when the place opened. Not only did it flake off like bad eczema but it got all over my clothes and made me feel dirty.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I can see a small population of people with flaky bread fetishes that would really like the bread but it definitely was not for me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After dipping the grinder in the au jus it really softened up and got all meaty juicy super fantastic. I had to stop myself from making out with it. </div>

If I were at home and no one was watching I'd probably lick the container clean to savor all that delicious fat dripping. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The bites that had meat were pretty good and I enjoyed the flavors. If it were on any other kind of bread I would have given them a much better score. </div>

I had purchased a second sandwich for a co-worker and brought it back to the office and the consensus was the same. Bread no good and not enough meat. It was not really worth the lunch rush wait.<br />
<br />
I don't think anyone at the office is going there again but you could probably talk me into giving it another shot. Hopefully things will be better next time. Actually, I kind of like writing bad reviews when places suck. I'll let them decide.<br />

Doesn't Mofongo sounds like the name of an evil super villain? In reality it is a meaty dish surrounded by a shell of crushed plantains and fried pork rinds.<br />
<br />
How was it? I have absolutely no clue because my co-worker, Dan, ordered it and I was not comfortable asking him for a bite. We're just not that far into our relationship yet.<br />

Good ol' Yelp helped us find <b>San Juan BBQ</b> - a little Pueto Rican restaurant in the heart of Riverside CA. It has excellent reviews so we decided to check it out.<br />
<br />
The walls of the interior are so bright it can probably be seen in Puerto Rico and possibly acts as a homing beacon to get customers to come in. The actual restaurant itself reminded me of a liquor store complete with a gift shop where you can fill up on on your Puerto Rican souvenirs so you can fake a trip to the Caribbean on Instagram and fool all your friends and family. </div>

I was really debating on the Mofongo till Dan beat me to it. I was also looking to get a hot pressed sandwich but I didn't want to eat anything squished. I decided to go for something off the menu and got a Roasted Pork Lunch Special for $5.99 that included a drink and I threw in a beef empanada just because I'm fat. Pretty good deal.</div>

I didn't realize there would be that many onions but they were at least set on top like a hat so I could easily scrape them off. The dish was pretty good looking. I really like the fez shaped rice and the little bowl of beans that didn't automatically merge with all my other food.<br />

I really loved the empanada. It was a my little ethnic hot pocket. There's little bits of veggies and potato in it to and it actually wasn't super oily or salty. I would have preferred to get a 6 pack of these and ate them as a meal instead.<br />

The rice itself was good and had a lot of texture and taste. I really just wished the pork wasn't so salty. I'm not sure if that's just how it's supposed to be and that's how it's been in Puerto Rico for generations or if I had a bad plate. Even then I did finish everything. I also wished I had more of those fried plantains. They were pretty dang good<i>.</i><br />

Dan said he did not like his Mofongo because it was too thick and bland. I really should have snaked a bite when he went to the bathroom because now I'm dying to try it. I might just have a deep seeded mistrust of Dan.<br />
<br />
Overall I enjoyed myself. The food was flavorful and the service was great. I definitely want to come back and get a pressed sandwich and maybe make someone get the mofongo so I can actually try it without investing my lunch choice into it.<br />

<i>It has a Discount Carpet Warehouse feel</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
The front of the restaurant looks like the entrance to a ghetto indoor swap meet or some sort of carpet warehouse where all carpets must go go go! But actually, when you get inside it really does look like a palace. The dining area is quite large and the seating quite comfortable. It's never full and the service is prompt.<br />
<br />
Towards the back of the restaurant you have a small buffet that is split into two sections: one with all their wonderful signature Indian dishes, and another with a horrible prison salad bar with piles of that hard white center of the lettuce, ladles of ranch, and off colored jello. Skip that part.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>So colorful it should be marching in a parade</i></div>
<br />
The first item I was excited to try was the Mulligatawny soup because I had never had it before and I keep seeing re-runs of the Seinfeld episode with The Soup Nazi where Kramer makes Elaine order it for him while watches her armoire.<br />
<br />
I have to say it is pretty damn good. It has a slight kick and the spices are perfect. It makes my mouth water thinking about it.<br />
<br />
The next thing I got was the <b>Tandoori Chicken</b> which I wasn't too fond of. It was a bit dry and I didn't care for the flavor.<br />
<br />
Next on the list was the deep fried <b>Vegetable Samosas</b> which I didn't really like either because they were super oily and bready.<br />
<br />
But it's ok. the <b>Saag Paneer</b> made up for everything. Saag Paneer is a spinach dish mixed with Indian cheese. It is amazing especially with the garlic nan. It's creamy, it's cheesy, it's just soooo gooooood.<br />
<br />
The pile of nuclear orange mess is actually vegetable curry which is my absolute favorite out of all the curry they serve. It is just so flavorful and the vegetables just meld into a tasty spicy mush and when you scoop it up with rice, it just ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I want it now!<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>My 3rd plate, I'm going to pay for it in the morning.</i></div>
<br />
Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures because I was too busy shoveling pure goodness into my mouth but here's a couple of items I should talk about:<br />
<br />
<b>Lamb Curry </b>- I didn't like this at first because I tried so hard to scoop up some lamb from the tray but someone had already harvested it and all that was left in the mixture were hard boiled eggs. I went back later and was able to get some lamb and it was really good.<br />
<br />
<b>Yellow Curry - </b>This was my least favorite of the curry. It was quite sour and odd tasting. But that's just me.<br />
<br />
<b>Some sort of Carrot Pile -</b> There was another radioactive orange colored dish in the corner that I didn't try till I was absolutely stuffed but it was pretty good. It had a light carrot flavor coated in a mass amount of sugar.<br />
<br />
<b>Cheese Ball -</b> There's also this thing called a Cheese Ball which doesn't taste like the way you'd think it'd taste. Think of a flan like texture in syrup. I grew to like it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
On our way home from the restaurant our tire exploded, probably because we ate so much that my car could not handle the mass we accumulated.<br />

I have to say that this is the one place I've been craving on a consistent basis. It's a little farther away than I'd like but it is well worth the drive. If your'e in the Riverside CA area and in the mood to try something different. You should definitely check this place out.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
Today I had the <b>Carl's Jr. 1/3 lb Texas BBQ Thickburger</b> which is totally out of character for me because I would normally order the 1/2 lb but I could already picture my wife yelling at me because she would check The Cloud and see pictures of the burger and get mad at how I promised to eat healthy but then I could say I chose the lesser of two evils and got the 1/3 lb instead of the 1/2 lb and she'd still be mad. </div>

<i>1/3 lb of dead cow and deep fried onion</i></div>
<br />
The burger itself is quite good. I was surprised because I normally don't like Carl's Jr. but I'm really into the whole sweet and savory deal. The real star of the burger though is the jalapeno fried onions. They really give a good crunchy texture to the burger.<br />

<i>Thicke Burger. Get it? Whatever. It didn't take long to photoshop.</i></div>
<br />
The description of the burger says it's a "brisket" which I'm not sure what that means but it's probably to help the illusion that this burger is somehow a fancy steakhouse burger.<br />

Usually any burger I get from Carl's Jr. that has anything crunchy is mush by the time I get it back home but these suckers were deep fried with a batter so thick, no BBQ sauce in the world could penetrate it which worked out in its favor. </div>

The Mesquite BBQ sauce itself was kind of weird because it had all sorts of jibs in it. It was like eating white person salsa. I got really excited and thought it was chili at first but was pretty happy with the taste of it.<br />

<i>The Final Bite</i></div>
<br />
<b>My final though:</b> The Carl's Jr. Texas BBQ Thickburger is pretty good. I was quite happy with the distribution of jalapeno fried onions and mushy bbq sauce. I got a little of it every bite. The sweet and savory flavors are really good and the meat itself tasted pretty clean. Overall I think I like this burger and give it a rating of <b>7 out of 10</b>.<br />
<br />
Carl's Jr's nutrition web page is busted so I can't put in the nutrition information for you guys. All I can say is that while the 1/3 lb burger will surely shorten your lifespan, the 1/2 lb will get you there 33% quicker.<br />

I usually don't drink wine unless I'm shotgunning it out of a box. When my parents told me that they were taking us to a fine French Restaurant it scared me.<br />
<br />
When I found out the restaurant was actually in a stabby part of town in a little strip mall I was totally interested.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bistro Blue, next to a Zumba gym and a video store which I think has to be a front for meth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The interior of the restaurant was cozy with a heavy blue theme. Blue is an interesting color choice for a restaurant. When I was taking color theory I learned that if you're trying to lose weight you should eat off of blue plates or under a blue light because blue doesn't occur naturally very often in food. This means blue will make your food seem less appetizing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fortunately the quality and care taken to preare the dishes today outweighed any science.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-mark-lim.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-mark-lim.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My wife and I excitedly waiting for our culinary trip to France.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-curry-bisque.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-curry-bisque.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Our meal started with a rather unique amuse-bouche. This chilled little soupy shot packed a shockingly intense curry flavor that can only be described as being slapped by the many arms of Vishnu. Even though curry isn't really my thing, the flavors were quite complex and I appreciated it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-escargot.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-escargot.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The next dish served was Les Escargots a la Provencale ($7). I have this weird love of chewy meat textures and these garlicky snails paired with the salty mushrooms hit the spot. My wife loved the burgundy sauce so much that she sopped every last drop up with the buttery pieces of toast.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-planche-du-charcutier.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-planche-du-charcutier.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After that they brought out the Planche Du Charcutier ($9). This included prosciutto, dry salami, pate, roast beef, pickled baby cucumber, and finely chopped olives. While I didn't really enjoy the meats, the pate was excellent. It was so creamy, flavorful, and decedent that it wanted to make me exercise for the sole purpose eating more of it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-duck.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-duck.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The duck ($22) was also amazing and my favorite of the night. It wasn't gamey or fatty. The salty juicy meat was just perfect. When we go back, this will be what I order.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-panache-de-fruits-de-mer.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-panache-de-fruits-de-mer.jpg" height="240" width="320" /><br /></a></div>
<br />
This was the Pancache De Fruits De Mer ($17). It's a spinach noodle with sauteed shrimp, scallops, and calimari in a Tarragon and white wine sauce. It was quite light and the seafood tasted fresh. This was also excellent.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-steak-and-fries.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-steak-and-fries.jpg" height="240" width="320" /><br /></a></div>
<br />
The Steak Frites ($19) The real star of this dish wasn't the meat but the white buttery glob on top. I don't think I'm sophisticated enough to enjoy wine based sauces. This wasn't the best dish of the night but I still liked it.<br />
<br />
For dessert we selected two different items that had to be ordered 25 minutes in advance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-chocolate-souffle.jpg"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-chocolate-souffle.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The
chocolate souffle was excellent. It was quite petite but perfect
for two people. The waitress cracked a hole on top and poured chocolate
and cream inside of it. Beautiful.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-peach-cobbler.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/bistro-bleu-peach-cobbler.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The peach cobbler was lava hot but the creamy topping cooled it off. It wasn't very sweet or heavy which was a perfect ending to a meal. They were worth the wait.<br />

<span dir="ltr" id="place-title"><b><br /></b>I have to say the service was absolutely incredible. The waiter and waitress psychically knew when to refill our drinks, take our empty plates away, and give us more toast for our pate. The food is marvelous and prepared gorgeously. <br />
We don't normally eat at IHOP when we go camping but this was special occasion. I was the fist one to wake up that morning and decided to throw rocks at people's tents just to be a turd. The last rock I threw was at my sister-in-law's tent and of course, dislocated my shoulder.<br />
<br />
I ran to get help because it was out of socket pretty far. I forgot the lie I told when they asked what happened but I remember it was better than throwing rocks at people's tents.<br />
<br />
We tried really hard to yank my shoulder back into socket with no luck. Painful as hell. My wife finally decided to drive me to the ER an hour down the mountain and as we were closing in on the hospital we hit a bump and popped my shoulder back in.<br />
<br />
We celebrated by eating at IHOP.<br />
<br />
Today our goal for our <a href="http://www.acuwebservices.com/" target="_blank">ACU Web</a> lunch was to try out a new BBQ place but for some reason we got lost and ended up at IHOP. I really wanted a normal breakfast but I could not pass up Chicken and Waffles.<br />

Tyler, our programmer, claimed that he could eat a ton of pancakes and went for the all you can eat. We all decided to bet him some money to see how much he could really handle. If he ate 15 pancakes we would give him $30. If he ate 20 pancakes we'd give him $50. If he ate less than $10 he would give us all $5.</div>
<br />
Tyler was a total baby about everything but was able to eat 10.5 pancakes, just enough so he wouldn't have to pay us. <br />
<br />
Austin ordered a deep fried cheesecake with fried bananas which I ended up eating half of. I don't normally like cheesecake but It was the most amazing dessert I've ever had. All that fried crispiness, that sweet banana, and that the creamy cheesecake totally hit the spot after eating a mound of waffles and chicken.<br />

As far as the Chicken and Waffles, they were ok. The chicken pieces were really dry but the waffles were pretty good. I really wanted bone in chicken and asked if they could substitute it and they said no which was a big disappointment but I ended up eating some of Max's fried chicken dinner left overs so it all worked out in the end.<br />
<br />
I'm really getting unhealthy. With an office job and lunches out every day I think I have to exert a little self control. YOLO. <br />

I was always a fat gluttonous pig, even in high school. One time after class, my friends Alex and Mike took me to eat at Yoshinoya. </div>
<br />
After ordering we patiently waited for an eternity. We were salivating from the aroma of beef and sauce. When we finally got our food, Alex decided he needed to go to the bathroom. <br />
<br />
My greedy fat ass could not resist reaching into his unguarded bowl and grabbing a handful of that soggy bacon-like meat and inhaling it. When he came back he was furious and confused. His lack of meat drove him into a rage. He blamed me for the atrocity but I was able to convince him that Mike did it and that I would never do something that terrible to someone.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For years he thought Mike had been the one who ruined his life that day until one time at a party I confessed that I stole his beef. I was forever known as <b>The Beef Stealer.</b> Alex even started using <b>Beef Stealer </b>as his screen name when we played video games with each other.</div>

The salty sweet juices are sopped up by the white rice so you get a flavorful burst in every bite. There are soft caramelized onions entwined in the meat threads that give it a varied texture.<br />

On the right day I will crave Yoshinoya till no end. There's nothing out there quite like it. The smell, the texture, and the unique taste are something that will always give me memories, good and haunting.<br />

</div>
I was given a pizza stone as a gift once and I made it my goal to one day become a master pizzatician. (pieologist?) I mean, how hard could it be? It's only flour, ketchup, and Kraft Singles.<br />
<br />
I found a simple recipe for pizza dough which I painstakingly followed to the tee and after much yeast calibrating and frantic fist pounding I had I built the foundation for the perfect pizza civilization... until this happened:<br />
<br />
<img alt="Home Made Pizza" border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/pizza-accident.jpg" height="auto" title="Home Made Pizza" width="100%" /><br />
<br />
I tried to somehow slide my pizza from a pan to the molten hot pizza stone and inadvertently turned it into a horribly disfigured calzone. After that, I decided to let the stoners at Dominoes make my pizzas.<br />
<br />
For lunch today, Dan took us to California Pizza Kitchen. It isn't my favorite place because it's too clean and the pizzas aren't covered in oily cheese sweat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<img alt="California Pizza Kitchen Meat Cravers" border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/california-pizza-kitchen-mark-lim.jpg" height="auto" title="California Pizza Kitchen Meat Cravers" width="100%" /> Since we weren't paying we decided to order the most expensive pizzas on the menu. This one is called the "Meat Cravers." It's pretty meaty as advertised.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/california-pizza-kitchen-jamaican-jerk-pizza.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="California Pizza Kitchen Jamaican Jerk Pizza" border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/california-pizza-kitchen-jamaican-jerk-pizza.jpg" height="auto" width="100%" /></a></div>
This is the Jamaican Jerk Pizza. I was a little hesitant about it but it turns out to be a really tasty dish. The meat and the onions are caramelized giving it a delicate sweet/savory balance. It also has a little heat so it gives you a nice little surprise kick. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img alt="California Pizza Kitchen Sausage Pizza" border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/california-pizza-kitchen-sausage-pizza.jpg" height="auto" width="100%" />Sausage Pizza, not that exciting.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The thing about California Pizza Kitchen is their crust. I didn't really go through their menu but everything seemed to be on a sturdy thin crust which I don't particularly like. I prefer a soft crust with a little crisp at the bottom. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Would I go back to CPK? </b>I personally wouldn't but if I was invited to go I probably would. It's just not my style.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A
little part of me believes that pizza should be eaten at home or next
to a ball pit with screaming children while a man in a giant mouse
costume contemplates suicide. </div>

Well, the time has come! A brand new company called <a href="http://www.munchpak.com/" target="_blank">Munch Pak</a> offers a monthly snack subscription that delivers a whole box full of random goodies for only $19.95 with free shipping.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ended up taking the box to the office because I wanted to share my fatness with everyone. Here's a list of things I got in the box:</div>
<ol>
<li>Some sort of Mexican Fig Newton. (Not my thing but I totally ate it)</li>
<li>A Salty/Sweet Ethnic Fruit Candy.</li>
<li>Laffy Taffy and a Lollipop</li>
<li>Chocolate Filled Pandas (Ohhh so gooooood!)</li>
<li>Rice Crispy Treat</li>
<li>Asian Salty/Sweet Rice Crackers</li>
<li>Mexican Powder Cookie Thing</li>
<li>Trailmix</li>
<li>Sour "Smog Balls" (My favorite weird one)</li>
<li>Brown Sugar Pop Tarts</li>
<li>Air Popped Potato Chips</li>
<li>A Mexican Chocolate Covered Twinkie (Mmm....)</li>
<li>Ketchup Flavored Potato Chips (My other favorite)</li>
<li>Curlywurly</li>
<li>Bag of Bugles</li>
<li>Cracker Jacks</li>
<li>Snyders Peanut Butter Crackers</li>
<li>Green Tea Pocky (My other super favorite)</li>
<li>Knotts Berry Farm Raspberry Cookies</li>
<li>Nutella! (See, the story makes sense now!)</li>
<li>Orange Candy</li>
<li>Rocher Chocolate Balls</li>
<li>Gardettos Snack Mix </li>
</ol>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We have 5 people in the office and we just inhaled everything in the box. It did not last the day. <a href="http://www.munchpak.com/" target="_blank">Munch Pak</a> definitely delivers wonderment and excitement with each package they send. There's something so cool about opening a random package not knowing what surprises are in store and then sharing them with your friends. I am really happy with my box of goodies and I think Munch Pak would make a great gift for a friend or your fat self!<br />

I've gotten really fat. I think I'm the fattest I've ever been. Fat to the point where when I wear my old regular shirts people think they're hipster slim fit metro-sexual shirts. I don't want to be fat and I don't want to be a hipster.<br />
<br />
I can't stand it any more. I'm trying to combat the fatness by eating
at In & Out Burgers. I know that doesn't sound healthy but the
only diet that I've ever had any success with is a low-carb diet and In & Out has the best Protein Style burgers in the world. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double01.jpg" imageanchor="1"><span id="goog_1067185799"></span><img border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double01.jpg" height="auto" width="100%" /><span id="goog_1067185800"></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, so I know this isn't protein style but I forgot to order it. Ok, I just really wanted bread.</div>
<br />
Protein Style is basically a regular burger but instead of buns holding the burger together, it's wrapped with lettuce. It's a weird feeling to eat one. When you grasp the burger your brain is expecting to hold nice soft warm buns but instead you are greeted with cold, slightly moist vegetables. And without the bread sopping up all the juices you are forced to shove as much in your mouth as quickly as possible so you don't lose a single drop of the meaty runoff.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double02.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double02.jpg" height="auto" width="100%" /></a></div>
<br />
While ordering the burger "Animal Style" (chopped pickles, Thousand Island Dressing, and grilled onions) is not very carb conscious, it is a sacrifice I am willing to make. I figure if I do 20 or so curls with 5 lb dumbbells I'll burn through enough sugars to negate it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double03.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/09-29-13-in-and-out/in-and-out-double-double03.jpg" height="auto" width="100%" /> </a></div>
I also wanted fries. <br />
<br />
Every In & Out I've been to, no matter the time or location, has a line of cars snaking out of the lot.<br />
At the office, no matter where we are going, if we see that the line is short at In & Out we will always eat there. It's a special place.<br />
<br />
The wait is long but well worth it. <b>Mark Lim - </b>Now that I've started working as a web designer for <a href="http://www.acuwebservices.com/" target="_blank">ACU Web </a>I've learned that there's a right way and a wrong way to take care of your employees. When I was working at Home Depot our Managers decided to motivate us with a pizza party. First of all, Dominoes pizza is not considered a reward. It is punishment. Second of all, you need to provide your workers with ENOUGH food or you will cause mass riots. The next day after the "Pizza Party" some of the employees wrote on the boxes:<br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>"One slice? You can keep your pizza."</i><br />
<br />
My first week at ACU Web, Austin took us to an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ restaurant. Korean BBQ is pretty interesting because the Koreans have found a way to charge you money and then make you cook the food yourself.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/korean-bbq-riverside.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Korean BBQ - Riverside, CA" border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/korean-bbq-riverside.jpg" title="Korean BBQ - Riverside, CA" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Austin and Dan - Korean BBQ Chefs</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
We searched for Korean BBQ restaurants and found two in the area. We drove in search of the first place and looked at the Yelp reviews but some of them were pretty bad so we gave up looking for it and drove to the second one. After seeing how shady the second one looked we decided to keep searching for the first one.<br />
<br />
We couldn't find it so our hunger forced us to give up and we went back to the second shady looking one.<br />
<br />
To our surprise it was quite nice inside. Austin ended up ordering various cuts of raw meat that we slowly cooked on the grill in the center of the table. Like children we began putting other things on the grill and at one point tried to make a volcano onion thing but failed miserably.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/onion-volcano.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Onion Volcano - Riverside, CA" border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/onion-volcano.jpg" title="Onion Volcano - Riverside, CA" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg3v2MByXsPfWbwNVBp4a13W37z6ZnxryHB0LepncCf2EKpZkJ77ZaIqT4AtmbWq2RAY8yEif-eA0CSFhPfN3QrEACkVY5eFYIQmuW__A8RVTvyy5Xt3Ay9YkkffbZiTMHed0fK-sBYXI/s1600/onionvolcano.jpg" imageanchor="1"><br /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>(not our onion volcano but what it's supposed to look like)</b></div>
<br />
Austin also tried to order "rice sheets" and the very nice Korean lady was very confused and looked at him like he was a crazy homeless man. Eventually, Austin was able to get his "rice paper."<br />
<br />
Overall it was a really good place and we plan to eat their again. I totally forgot where this place is so I'm going to google it right now.<br />

<span style="color: lime;"><b>Mark Lim - </b></span>Growing up as a fat kid sucked. You get made fun of every day for no reason other than your unhealthy obsession for chocolate and KFC gravy. One day I had enough of the taunting and decided to embrace my chubby. I started making a funny face where I squished my head back so all my chins layered like raw bacon. Everyone in school thought it was hilarious.<br />
<br />
The problem was that now whenever I saw someone they would ask, "Hey, do that fat face!" or kids would tell their friends, "That's the guy who makes the fat face! Do it!!!" No girl wants to be with a guy who makes a fat face. Anyway, so the moral of the story is: I actually I don't think I have one. I just wanted to talk about being a fat kid but if there was a lesson it would be: If you are the fat kid, don't do anything like the fat face because it stays with you until you grow old and your are forced to leave town in shame.<br />

<span style="color: lime;"><b>RANT ENDS. BURGER REVIEW BEGINS</b></span></div>
<hr />
<br />
I've never been a fan of Denny's but yesterday changed everything. I received a gift card for Denny's inviting me to try out their new "Build Your Own Burger" so I decided to take my wife to eat there on our anniversary. I think it goes 25 year = Silver, 50 year = Gold, 60 year = Diamond, 3 year = Denny's. Real romantic, right? <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/dennys_burger1.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Burger I built (See what I named it on the next picture)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So the first thing you do when you want to Build Your Own Burger is to take the sheet on your table and check off all the awesomeness you want them to put on it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I ended up choosing the Beef Patty on a Cheddar Bun with Cheddar Cheese, Sauteed Mushrooms, Grilled Onions, Tomatoes, Mayo, Frisco Sauce, and Onion Tanglers. I named it The OMG LOL Burger. It's actually super fun to pick your toppings. They have interesting ones like Mac'n Cheese, Hasbrowns, and Coleslaw. I was tempted to check everything but my wife gave me the disapproving face.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When my burger arrived I was very excited because it was my creation. I birthed it and named it. It was The OMG LOL burger by Mark Lim and I was proud of it.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The first bite was tasty.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Cheddar Bun is the way to go. It's got a cheesy flavor and is lubricated enough so it slides down your gullet with ease. I was tempted to do the Grilled Potato Bread but I was happy with my Cheddar Bun. I was also on the fence about the Frisco Sauce. Basically it's thousand island sauce with a little kick. Next time I might try the Chipotle Sauce with Jalapenos. I almost ordered an absolute crazy burger with Hashbrowns, Mac 'n Cheese, a Fried Egg, Coleslaw, Chili, and Avocado but decided to get something a little normal for my first time around.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This burger was probably the best burger I've had all year. It looked great, it tasted great, and messy as hell just the way I like it. The only thing was they forgot to put on the Onion Tanglers but that's ok. It was pretty massive anyway. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The innards.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This trip to Denny's changed everything for me. There's now something that I crave and want to go back and eat. The Build Your Own Burger at Denny's is fun and tastes great. Oh, next time I want a Double Beef Patty, Cheddar Bun, Cheddar Cheese, Sauteed Mushroom, Grilled Onions, Tomato, Chipotle Sauce, Jalapenos, Hash Browns, Onion Tanglers, Mac 'n Cheese, Fire-Roasted Peppers and Onions, Chili, and Avocado burger. If they let me. Mmmm...</div>

<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/ohsofat8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/ohsofat8.jpg" /></a></div>
<b><span style="color: lime;">Mark Lim -</span> </b>When it comes to cooking I'm pretty impatient. I'm the kind of guy that cooks stuff with twice the heat so it finishes in half the time. I also hardly ever measure anything. I usually just toss everything in a bowl and whatever happens, happens. Oh, and I'm also really cheap and will substitute ingredients for the crappier versions or just entirely not include the ingredient at all. <br />
<br />
With that said, tonight I will be baking<span style="color: lime;"><b> Chocolate and Potato Chip</b></span> cookies. I feel the perfect storm of chaos is brewing...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/cookies.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/cookies.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;">That's what they're supposed to look like. You'll see how they're not supposed to look like at the end of this blog.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Before I start I just want to say that I've never actually baked before. The closest I ever got was when I saw something on the internet and decided to make <a href="http://cdn-www.i-am-bored.com/media/46523_3minutebrownies.jpg">3 minute brownies</a> in the microwave. Wow. So disgusting but so quick.<br />
<br />
Anyway, this recipe for <a href="http://www.fritolay.com/recipes/recipe/chocolate-and-potato-chip-cookies"><b>Lay's Chocolate and Potato Chip Cookies</b></a> was given to me as a challenge and even though I am severely incompetent in baking I decided to accept.<br />
<br />
Here is the recipe given to me:<br />
<br />
<span style="color: lime;"><b>Chocolate and Potato Cookies</b></span> - Try this recipe for a delicious twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie!<br />
<br />
<span style="color: lime;"><b>Ingredients:</b></span><br />
<ul>
<li>2 cups all-purpose gluten free baking flour or your favorite blend</li>
<li>1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum or guar gum</li>
<li>1/4 teaspoon sea salt</li>
<li>2 teaspoons baking powder</li>
<li>1/2 teaspoon baking soda</li>
<li>2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut</li>
<li>1/2 cup canola oil or butter (chewy or crisp)</li>
<li>2 tablespoon agave nectar</li>
<li>1 egg</li>
<li>1/2 cup brewed coffee</li>
<li>1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract</li>
<li>1/2 cup miniature milk chocolate chips</li>
<li>5 oz. LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips (about 4 cups or 75 chips), processed till finely minced but not mealy</li>
</ul>
<span style="color: lime;"><b>Instructions:</b></span><br />
<ol>
<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.2) Process 4 cups of LAY'S® Classic Potato Chips and weigh until you have 5 oz. (about half the bag).</li>
<li>In a large bowl, whisk together baking powder, xanthan gum, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir in the brown sugar, and mix until combined.</li>
<li>In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil (or butter), vanilla extract, agave and 5 tablespoons coffee.</li>
<li>Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. If the dough is too stiff, add more coffee as needed to soften. The finished dough should be thick.</li>
<li>Stir in potato chips.</li>
<li>Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place two inches apart onto a sheet pan lined with parchment. Bake on the bottom rack for 15-17 minutes.</li>
<li>Remove from oven to cool for five minutes then transfer cookies to a cooling rack.</li>
<li>Repeat until all dough is used</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/ingredients.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/ingredients.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
So first things first. I don't like coconut so that's not going in. I have no clue what xanthan gum is so that's out. I also don't have agave nectar so I'm just going to use some honey instead. I have no clue what is going to happen.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/steps1to4.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/steps1to4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I follow the directions exactly. 1) I mix the dry ingredients. 2) I mix the wet ingredients. 3) I mix the wet and dry ingredients. 4) I make little balls on parchment paper.<br />
<br />
Here's where things go wrong.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/chocolatechip1.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/chocolatechip1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/chocolatechip.jpg" imageanchor="1"><br /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
10 minutes go buy and something hits me. I forgot to add the freaking chocolate chips! This is a picture of me panicking and just frantically throwing chocolate chips on top of the cookies that have been baking for over 10 minutes. Sigh.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/potatochipcookies.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" class="pic" src="http://www.poisonappleshirts.com/ohsofat/potatochipcookies.jpg" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is the final product. It's messy and shaped funny but it's a very sweet and savory treat. Even when I totally messed everything up it still turned out pretty good. I suggest you guys try it out but <b>DO IT CORRECTLY</b> and tell me if you like it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
I will probably leave the baking to my wife from now.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health released study results showing that red meat consumption was associated with a higher risk of early death. The more red meat study participants reported they ate, the more likely they were to die during the period of time that data collection took place.</div>
